At the beginning of June, we had the privilege of participating in an inspiring event in Zagreb featuring Barbara O’Neill, which brought together people interested in health, prevention and a deeper understanding of the human body.
Throughout the event, Center Hočevar shared a message that lies at the core of our philosophy: oral health is not separate from overall health.
The oral cavity is an integral part of the body’s interconnected systems and deserves a comprehensive, evidence-informed approach that considers its potential impact on inflammation, immune function and long-term wellbeing.
A special highlight of the event was the lecture by Dr. Gregor Hočevar, M.Sc., who presented the principles of biological dentistry, ceramic implantology and the importance of maintaining a healthy, functional and inflammation-free oral environment. His presentation focused on questions that are becoming increasingly relevant in modern healthcare:
- how chronic burdens can affect the body,
- how potential sources of inflammation can be identified and addressed, and
- how treatment can support both healing and long-term health.
During the event, we also recorded a short conversation between Dr. Gregor Hočevar and Barbara O’Neill titled “A Conversation That Opens Important Questions.” The discussion explores the relationship between oral health, lifestyle factors and the importance of viewing the body as one connected system rather than a collection of isolated parts.
We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand, attended the lecture and took the time to engage in meaningful conversations with our team. The growing interest in the connection between oral health, systemic health and preventive care confirms the importance of continuing these discussions and sharing knowledge.
We invite you to explore the event highlights below and watch the conversation with Barbara O’Neill, where important questions about health, prevention and a broader perspective on wellbeing are explored.
