When replacing teeth, our center follows the Short Cut Concept (SCC) of Dr. Volz (Switzerland). SCC means that when your tooth is removed, a ceramic implant is inserted in the same phase. This way, the existing bone and soft tissue are preserved; otherwise, both would massively shrink after a tooth’s extraction. An immediate implantation also saves you additional surgical procedures which would be necessary had the implant not been inserted immediately. You also save time since the final prosthetic substitute is made within three to four months after a tooth’s removal.

To ensure the treatment’s success, it is crucial you closely follow the provided guidelines in the so-called surgical protocol. With the insertion of ceramic implants, special attention is paid while preparing the extraction wound. The wound is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected as implants only assimilate with healthy tissue. The protocol includes orthomolecular support with vitamins, minerals and microelements. We follow the Bone Healing Protocol (BHP) according to Dr. Dominik Nischwitz. Before the implants are inserted, we check the serum value of Vitamin D3 and LDL cholesterol.
