Gregor Hočevar
dr. dent. med., M.Sc. 2nd level University Master in Oral Implantology, Specialist In Biological Dentistry And Ceramic Implants (ISMI Germany, IAOCI USA), leader of biological dentistry, founder of Center Hočevar, Swiss Dental Solutions Ambassador
Gregor Hočevar is one of the leading experts in biological dentistry.
He was awarded the "Swiss Dental Solutions Amassador" title, who is given to Biological dentists who, in addition to placing ceramic implants, also work in research and science, collaborate with universities, write scientifical papers and educate colleagues. By developing his technique for immediate implantation of ceramic implants in the front area, Dr. Hočevar has significantly improved previous treatment approaches and has thus made a major contribution to the development and advancement of ceramic implantology.
He graduated in 1996 from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana. During his studies, he received the Prešeren Award and the Oražen Award for the best graduate of his generation.
He gained experience at several dental clinics abroad (Spain, Germany, Austria, the USA).
After he finished his studies, he worked for two years at the Škofja Loka Medical Center. He founded his private dental clinic in 1999 and continued his training in Slovenia and abroad.
In 2017, he was the first dentist in Slovenia to receive the title of Specialist for Biological Dentistry and Ceramic Implants, which came at the conclusion of a two-year post-graduate program in Germany and Switzerland.
That same year he founded Center Hočevar, a private biological dental center.
In the academic year 2021/2022, he successfully completed the "2nd Level University Master in Oral Implantology" with the focus on “Immediate Ceramic Implant Placement in the Esthetic Zone" at the International University of Health Sciences in Rome under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Covani.
He gives all his thought and attention to ceramic implantology and prosthetics. His main focus is immediate implantation of ceramic implants, especially in the aesthetic area. He developed a surgical technic with which he is able to improve the aesthetic outcome of the soft tissue after immediate implant placement.
He regularly publishes peer-reviewed articles in the field of ceramic implants. He is also very eager to share his knowledge of biological dentistry and ceramic implants both at professional dental congresses and with the general public worldwide.
